This policy explains what personal data Wardroby collects through this pre-launch website, why we use it, and the rights you have under UK data protection law.

Who we are

Wardroby (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a UK-based project building a digital wardrobe app. This site is our pre-launch website, where you can join our waitlist. We operate from London, United Kingdom and are the “controller” of the personal data described below.

Questions about this policy or your data? Email us at privacy@wardroby.uk.

Data we collect

Waitlist details

When you join our waitlist we collect the email address you give us. We also record the date and time you signed up and a shortened version of your browser’s user-agent string (which browser and device you used), to help us prevent abuse and understand where sign-ups come from.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our hosting provider processes limited technical information needed to deliver the site securely, such as your IP address and request metadata. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-first, cookieless tool that gives us aggregated visitor statistics (such as page views and referrers) without tracking you across sites or storing data on your device.

Anti-spam

Our sign-up form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to tell humans from bots. To do this, your IP address and a verification token are sent to Cloudflare. We do not store your IP address in our own database.

Campaign information (only with your consent)

If you accept optional cookies, we store campaign information — such as the marketing link you arrived from — so we can understand what brings people to Wardroby. See our Cookie Policy for details.

Messages

If you email us, we keep your message and contact details so we can reply.

Why we use it, and our legal bases

Under UK GDPR we must have a lawful basis for using your data:

  • Waitlist & launch updates — your consent. You give it when you submit the form, and you can withdraw it at any time.
  • Keeping the site secure and preventing abuse — legitimate interests. Protecting Wardroby and its users.
  • Aggregated, cookieless analytics — legitimate interests. Understanding and improving the site, without tracking cookies or profiling.
  • Optional campaign cookies — your consent, given via our cookie banner.

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies. Essential cookies remember your privacy choice; optional cookies are only set if you accept them. Full details — including names and durations — are in our Cookie Policy.

Who we share your data with

We don’t sell your personal data — and we never will. We share data only with the service providers that help us run Wardroby:

  • Cloudflare, Inc. — website hosting, our waitlist database, bot protection (Turnstile), cookieless analytics, and consent tooling (Zaraz).

These providers act as our processors and may only use your data on our instructions. We may also disclose data where required by law.

International transfers

Cloudflare is a global provider, so some data may be processed on servers outside the UK, including in the United States. Where that happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards recognised under UK data protection law, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep your data

We keep your waitlist email until we launch and for up to 12 months afterwards, or until you ask us to remove it — whichever comes first. We keep a record of your cookie consent choice so we can show we obtained it. Aggregated analytics data does not identify you and may be kept longer.

Your rights

You have rights over your personal data under UK GDPR, including to:

  • access a copy of your data;
  • ask us to correct inaccurate data;
  • ask us to erase your data;
  • restrict or object to our processing;
  • data portability;
  • withdraw consent at any time (this won’t affect processing we did before you withdrew it).

To exercise any of these, email privacy@wardroby.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK regulator, at ico.org.uk or 0303 123 1113 — though we’d appreciate the chance to help first.

Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (HTTPS) and access controls on our systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and review our practices as Wardroby grows.

Children

Wardroby is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us their data, contact us and we’ll delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Wardroby develops. If we make material changes, we’ll update the date at the top and, where appropriate, let you know. This policy forms part of our pre-launch site and will continue to evolve before launch.
